Firefighters in upstate New York are sending some of their old PPE to Ukraine to help firefighters who are fighting street clothes.
The Bellevue Fire District packaged up 30 sets of used gear and brought it to the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church who was preparing a shipment of relief supplies.
"You watch the news you can see that there are bombings and places are on fire over there, you see the firemen out there trying to put stuff out there in street clothes so here they've got some protection." Jim Havernick, from the Board of Fire Commissioners. told WGRZ.com.
